Viet Nam: Smart and Energy Efficient City Project, Phase 1 [4]

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has proposed a smart and energy efficient city project for Can Tho, Viet Nam, reported the VN Express [3].

The proposed development aims to boost Can Tho’s energy efficiency through smart lighting systems, including replacing street lights with smart LED lights, and setting up surveillance cameras and environmental monitoring systems. It also proposes to upgrade public buildings to ensure energy efficiency.

ADB proposes to develop six provinces and cities in Viet Nam into smart and energy efficient cities, including Hanoi, the northern province of Quang Ninh, the central province of Quang Nam, the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, the central city of Da Nang, and the southern city of Can Tho.
